ABOUT MY DECISION TO LEAVE THE RIGHT
A comment on the serious side:
Whatever disagreements we may have, I am smart enough to know that I need the secular right or, as I think Benjamin Franklin opined, "we must hang together or we will surely hang separately".
That this article is good satire is a sign that the threat (some of our best conservative thinkers leaving the movement) is real.
If I bring up some point, in the future, about social conservatism or allowing faith to inform policy positions, know that it is never done with the perspective of a "purge". I want to be able to talk with you about these things.
